Project objective: Expansion of the particle accelerator “High-Luminosity LHC” to significantly increase luminosity; construction of new civil engineering structures and underground galleries at Point 5 (CMS detector), including complex works within an active research environment.
Project scope: Civil and structural works under demanding geological and operational conditions; special foundation engineering, shafts, galleries, and complex interfaces between construction, plant systems, and research operations.

Client: FAIR GmbH / GSI
Project objective: Development of a large-scale international research facility for antiproton and ion research; extensive civil engineering and plant construction works including ring and linear accelerators as well as experimental areas.
Project scope: Earthworks involving millions of cubic meters of soil, thousands of cubic meters of reinforced concrete, highly complex construction and technical structures (building services, technical gases, climate/ventilation systems) in a cutting-edge research environment.
