Grid Expansion Projects – SüdOstLink & SüdLink (Germany)
Service period:
SuedOstLink approx. 2020 – 2028; SuedLink approx. 2022 – 2030+
Clients:
50Hertz / TenneT / TransnetBW
Project objective:
Construction of high-capacity high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission lines to support the energy transition: north-south power transport, 525 kV underground cables, transmission capacities up to 4 GW.
Project scope:
Major routes, converter stations, processes for site accessibility, environmental and permitting requirements, numerous interfaces with engineering, construction, and grid operations.

Our Services:
-
Specialist project management for construction engineering, schedule and cost control for SuedOstLink (work package volume approx. €248 million)
-
Cost and performance accounting for SuedLink using RIB iTWO, implementation of process governance, Power BI, SAP, ArcGIS, ThinkProject/EcoSys
-
Contract and claims consulting, reconciliation of change requests, monitoring of construction and supply-chain risks
Result:
The use of digital controlling and documentation systems, along with early-established claims and change-management standards, significantly contributed to risk mitigation. Our integrated management enabled efficient coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction execution.
